In your own words: how many sockets and lights, how long the cable run is, what goes in the board. You can say the price too. Dictation is in beta during the pilot, so you can always type instead.
For electricians
Don't spend your evening on the quote.
Talk me through the job on site: sockets, lights, the new circuit, the chasing. I'll split it into lines with your prices. You check it, and you send it.

“Kitchen at a three-bed semi. Swap six double sockets and fit four fire-rated downlights. New radial for the induction hob: it's about a nine-metre run back to the board, so call it ten metres of six mil twin and earth, a forty-five amp cooker switch and a thirty-two amp RCBO. Chasing's about six metres, then make good. And an hour and a half for testing and the certificate.”

How it works
From the site visit to the quote you send.
Labour and materials on separate lines, each with a quantity and a unit: each, metres, hours. The prices come from your own price list. When something is unclear, I mark it for you to check.
Correct any line, then send it yourself. The quote carries your logo and business details, with VAT at 20% or No VAT. Nothing goes out without your approval.
To check
When I'm not sure, I flag it.
If a quantity is an estimate, a price is missing or a line isn't clear, the line is marked “To check”, with a concrete question next to it. For example: “Check the consumer unit has a spare way, and note its make so the RCBO matches.”
I never make up a price. If an item isn't in your prices, I mark it for you to check. The price never changes without your say-so, and nothing goes out before you've checked it.

Your prices
Your rates, your units.
- You set and change your own rates: per point, per metre, per hour or by the day.
- Price in metres or feet, m² or sq ft. Your price list and your quote stay in the unit you chose, in pounds and pence.
- Labour and materials go on separate lines, so your customer sees what they're paying for.
- VAT at 20% or No VAT, depending on whether you're VAT-registered.

Frequently asked questions
Worth knowing before your first quote.
What does it cost?
Nothing during the UK pilot. After that it's £19/month with unlimited quotes. Mondigo is for business use only, so no UK VAT is added: if you're VAT-registered, you account for it under the reverse charge.
How does my customer get the quote?
You send it. Your customer opens it from a link, where they can accept it or ask for changes. It's also available as a PDF.
Do I have to dictate?
No. Talking is the easiest way to start, but you can type the job instead. Dictation is in beta during the pilot, and I'm built for British English, from “half eight Tuesday week” to postcodes.
Can I price per point, per metre or by the day?
Yes. A socket or a downlight can be priced each, cable runs and chasing by the metre, and bigger jobs by the hour or by the day. You set the rate for each, and I work from your prices.
Does the quote include testing and certification?
Only if you put it on. Testing and the certificate go on as a line like any other item, at your own price. Notifying the work under Part P stays with you and your scheme.
What happens to my data?
The app and its database run in the EU, in Warsaw. I don't keep your voice as an audio file, and in Settings you can download your data or delete your account.
